The effect of rank‐ordering strategy on creative idea selection performance

When people have to choose a creative solution from several ideas tackle problem, they tend select mainstream at the expense of ideas. In current research, we examined effect rank-ordering strategy on idea selection performance by comparing three different strategies: choosing (i.e., stepwise selecting most idea), elimination removing least and paired comparison making series choices pairs ideas). four experiments, participants rank-ordered 10 in creativity using one strategies, was compared between conditions. Moreover, meta-analysis conducted data these studies. Our findings suggest that does not influence Bayesian analyses provide evidence supporting null hypothesis.
